Starting fresh and growing a brand identity with turn it up media

Having worked next to each other for the better part of my 9 years at Oskar Blues, when former Marketing Director, Chad Melis struck out on his own to form his Turn It Up Media PR & Strategy company, we knew we could collaborate really easily on the art direction for his new venture. Chad and I have a lot of similar music and design tastes, plus we have a good working short hand so we can move projects along quickly without needing too much back and forth. We started with the vibe which revolved around this vintage radio Chad's grandpa gave him and the idea that music would be heavily influencing the overall feel. He wanted to do two logo marks: a primary and secondary, so we could use them in different ways for what was needed at the time. The main logo is the word lock up within a circle and some lightning bolts (cause why not?) with the second being a grungy, little amp. Once these pieces and the color scheme were in place, I went on to knock out web comps, business cards, logo animations, a website and a few ads.

Since then we've collaborated on several other projects and TIUM continues to be one of my favorite groups of people to work with!
